Description
First Aid at Work Level 3. 3 Days (18 hours)
Suitable for high hazard environments and working conditions that require comprehensive first aid cover such as in factories or on building sites and companies with high numbers of staff. No previous first aid experience is required to attend this course.
The First Aid at Work Level 3 qualification (FAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2013 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes. All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.
This course encompasses the HSE First Aid at Work syllabus, including examination and is aimed at Employers where there is a Legal requirement for First Aid at Work. If you are unsure as to whether you need staff with this qualification, the HSE has published a Guide to Assessing First Aid at Work requirements. The actual Regulations can be found here.
This course can be combined with the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course if you have learners requiring a mixture of qualifications. Those learners just attend day 1. Overall numbers cannot exceed 12.
The National School of First Aid Training offers the First Aid at Work qualification, awarded as a Level 3 qualification in England and Wales and a Level 6 qualification in Scotland.

Training
Our training is very practical and hands on. We do not rely upon the usual ‘death by PowerPoint’, instead we use progressive incident scenario based training methods. Our courses teach techniques proven to work in real life incidents and not just in a classroom. Our training builds confidence and develops first aid skills into complete incident management.
